London Voter Registration Week 2022

The Greater London Authority (GLA) is launching London Voter Registration Week (LVRW) 2022 with a pan–London coalition to increase voter registration rates and give voice to under-represented Londoners. Under the slogan #NoVoteNoVoice, impartial activity will run online and offline between 14-20 November.

Are you a civil society organisation working with and for Romanian Londoners? Then get in touch with elisabeth.pop@london.gov.uk if you want to receive and share print, digital and video resources, including in Romanian and Romanes. Your voice matters and London will not be the same without it, so get involved and #RegisterToVote.

Cost of living Hub

We are living in difficult times, where the price of energy, food and bills are all rising steeply. Many Londoners are struggling to keep up with the cost of living. If you’re struggling with money, it’s important to remember that you’re not alone and there are people and organisations that can support you.

The GLA Cost of living Hub contains information about benefits, grants and discounts you can get if you’re in financial difficulty, from the Mayor of London, the government, your local council, charities and advice centres. The information might be relevant for you, or you might want to share it with someone you know.

Migrant Londoners Hub

As part of the Mayor’s promise to champion London’s diversity, we’re providing information to welcome new arrivals to our city and support migrant Londoners with information about their rights.

Romanian Londoners will find on the GLA Migrant Londoners Hub information on visas and immigration policy, around how to access civic and democratic rights, about employment and welfare, on health and wellbeing, regarding education and training, and about housing and homelessness.

Propel – Funding for London’s civil society

London funders have put together a funding pot – Propel – that will enable organisations to explore, develop and lead collaborative approaches to tackle some of London’s biggest challenges.

Are you a civil society organisation working with and for Romanian Londoners? Then apply for funding in the following priority areas:

  • A New Deal for Young People: Enabling more disadvantaged young people to benefit from quality mentoring and youth activities and powering systemic change and sustainability within the youth sector.
  • Building Strong Communities: All Londoners will have access to community resources, ensuring they can volunteer, get support, have a voice and build strong community networks.
  • Robust Safety Net: Ensuring every Londoner is able to access the support they need to prevent or alleviate financial hardship and building a strong and sustainable advice sector.”
